Must confess, large majority of me wants a fully dry weekend. Because I'm more about the cars than drivers, I want the cars pushed to their max, not being tiptoed, especially at this track. Also, since Germany where the rain wrecked my fantasy team, I dont want rain to save a dullish race, but in this season I can only blame the rain once I guess, every other single race found another way to wreck my team xD
My previous sig was obsolete, McLaren ain't disappointing Heshy no more.

I too would much prefer a dry weekend (and not just because Seb needs water wings)

It seems Lando is getting a shot in P1. I would post the link but I don't like giving sky traffic

@paps, yeah I got pushed a link to sky. Didn't check if it was elsewhere. Be good to see the lad get a run out.
Lucky I'm "working from home" on Friday.

Things might not be rosy at all for Force India this weekend. I suggested they maybe compromised, but not to the extent of not racing.

I have some questions for anyone who can educate me:
People go on and on and on and on about Mercedes and Ferrari having q3 quali modes or party modes, well correct me if I am wrong but several other teams run with Ferrari and Mercedes engines and given that manufacturers are obliged to supply engines exactly the same as the works teams dont they all have these modes?
If McLaren and Toro Rosso will struggle on the straight line speed aspect of Spa wont Renault as they run the same engine?
Anyone know of any upgrades anyone is bring to Spa, I would have assumed all of them after such a long break?

Previously the rules only stated the construction of the engine must be identical between Works & Customer teams. Earlier this year the rules were clarified to specifically include software/engine modes also. So to answer your question - yes, the customer teams should have access to the same engine modes being used by the works team.

The difference of course is the rest of the package, none more so that the chassis that engine is bolted to, and the driver at the controls - in which case I think it's fair to say Merc, Ferrari & Red Bull hold an advantage over their customer teams (and Renault).
Don't forget the Ferrari & Merc PU's design were dictated by the chassis, whereas customer chassis design is dictated by the PUs, leading to inherent & fundamental compromises at the design stage - undoubtedly hampering performance compared with what could be possible if they were somehow able to mould the same power unit into their own ideal shape
