Good thing or bad thing?

If you remember, it was middle eastern money that spelt the end for Ron.

Always liked black liveries. Loved the McLarens of the early hybrid era and obviously the JPS Lotus 77. This looks very nice to me, think the black and teal colours work well together. In fact I'm using this colour scheme on here now Wink

When I look fast, I'm not smooth and I am going slowly. And when I look slow, I am smooth and going fast.

Am I the only one who thinks this is a distraction everyone can do without? I know it's a worthy cause, but I think the point has been made now and it's time to let it go.

No? Just me then  Rolleyes

... a bit of a minefield this one, hard to give opinions without offending someone these days (would those who dont be seen as racist?)....personally, would I bend a knee.....f*ck no!... not for anyone or anything.....last time I went down on a knee was to offer Mrs F the gift of a lifetime by marrying me  Tongue

It's not about making a point, the protests in the past "made points" and then society went right back to not giving a fuck after agreeing everything was awful. This time they're not stopping until there is change... and I'm with the protesters, so yeah, if it keeps it in the public consciousness and keeps up pressure then yeah, take a knee. Taking a knee actually has a very, very long history in protesting, and is a well recognised sign of passive resistance. Simple truth is a lot of shit has got to change.

Well, that's all well and good and I wouldn't be one to disagree with the sentiment that attitudes have got to change (and i certainly didn't say I was against the protestors cause). All I'm saying is this kind of thing serves as an extra distraction for the drivers who have already had their seasons majorly disrupted. It is going to be hard enough for them to get back in the zone without things like this, so I'll stick my neck out and say they should leave it alone and demonstrate their support in some other way.

There is a time and a place and I'm not convinced doing this "bend the knee" thing will serve any real purpose anyway. It certainly won't do a lot for "the shit that has to change" on its own.

I want to see all the drivers fully in the zone this weekend so the above is my 2p's worth, for what it's worth.
