Thought I'd get this up early.

I'm going, so probably means the first wet race weekend of 2019!

What I would give for a wet race. Or even a partially rain effected race. I love me a wet race. Long range forecasts though predict Silverstone, Hockenheim and Hungary will all be raced in sweltering heat similar to Austria ... So take some sun block Morini. Silverstone as a layout will even things up a bit in Qualifying between Ferrari and Mercedes, but in race trim it'll hurt the red cars and bring Max Verstappen into play, while Gasly might finish 10th if he's lucky.

lol, was that 2009? Or later?

Ah it was the 2012 race. That was a difficult weekend for McLaren, Button had a mare that year at Silverstone too. Was one of the weekends where I felt Schumacher's return wasn't a total mistake, he qualified 4th or something.

Schumacher raced for Mercedes from 2010 for three years till 2012. That was definitely 2012.
I know for a fact it wasn't 2011 because I was there and saw him spin before my very eyes hehe

I think we are going to see a big bounce back from Mercedes in this race. Hamilton is going to be hard to beat I swear he gains .25 of a second per lap with the support of the home crowd. He will want to remember how Vettel and Ferrari rubbed their win last year in Mercedes face.

Red Bull are always a threat in this race and I absolutely think Ferrari will be right up there too. Big question for me is can McLaren continue to perform. Renault works team are such a disappointment again their progress is so slowly going forward.

No rain Morini but like everyone I am sure a wet race at Silverstone would be welcome as it always is a fantastic spectacle!

Sorry Forza I forgot Vettel is not a wet weather specialist, well not staying on the tarmac, of course at barriers that's a different matter!
