So, not heard anything on this from Sky during the sessions so far, though I have to say I only watch the actual sessions these days and don't tune in to the pre-race / pre-quali anymore (the Sky F1 team really get on my pips). Anyway, it is Kimi's 300th entry today so he joins a select band of 4 others. That's entries mind, not race starts (he will have to wait a few more events for 300 starts).

I think it has been mentioned by Brundle a few times. He's also said what a phenomenal achievement it is, especially after walking away from the sport and then coming back.

Yeah, well, I guessed it probably would have been mentioned but like I say I'm now limiting my exposure to the Sky team as much as possible. I honestly haven't heard it if it has been mentioned during the practice and quali sessions so far. I kind of speed watched the P1 / P2 sessions so it might have been said during those.

Alfa Romeo veteran Kimi Raikkonen says he will not stop doing dangerous activities just because he is in Formula 1 and scoffs at the idea of contract clauses preventing him to do so.

Well known for loving rallying, motocross and most recently jumping from a building into a swimming pool, the 39-year-old Finn insists that his life away from F1 is up to him.

“I haven’t read my contract because it’s not worth much as far as I am concerned,” he told the Hungarian magazine Vezess when asked if he is prohibited from engaging in dangerous activities.

“When I first talked to Alfa Romeo, I told them that if they complain about anything, if they whine, I won’t be here anymore,” Raikkonen added.

“There are many dangerous things in life,” the 2007 world champion insisted. “Of course I try to be careful, but I think it’s enough to talk about something if it happens.”

Raikkonen is currently under contract until the end of 2020. He said he is not interested in getting involved in the management of the sport once he retires.

“That’s not for me,” he laughed. “Liberty deals with more politics than many countries do.”

I always liked Kimi, been a fan of his since he came into the sport. I was concerned about him going to Alfa, I thought maybe he was clinging onto his career a little too long, but he's been the Kimi of old so far this season. The iceman is back, and I'm loving it.
