Sauber reveal the C37

Sorry, thats the Williams. Wait....is it?.....no.....

No hiding their halo fairing

A real number of air intakes around the rollhoop.
But also halfway down the shark fin. Thats a lot of cooling ducts

But those sidepod intakes seem small, or maybe its the fact they look to have a vertical orientation

Going for the biplane look with their sidepod crash structures.

Sorry I don't have PS installed anynore to brighten these images up a bit.

Serious lack of other sponsors. I'd say it was a good livery, it was when they teased it at the end of last season, but seeing that 75% of the cars we've seen so far have been majority white themed, it all a bit samey and lamey. I blame Haas the most for choosing too much white.

The halo looks quite big on this one. It looks wrong on every car, but looks bigger on this Sauber.

100% agree, for me the most informative articles on each car...a great read.

It is the only one to of had some fairing on it, out of the reveals so far. Whether that is contributing to the impression of it being bigger, or perhaps its rear mountings seem to take up a lot of space.

I have just read over on motorsport : Sauber wheelbase tweak hints at Ferrari change,Sauber has confirmed it has lengthened the wheelbase of its 2018 Formula 1 car, in a move that offers clues as to what partner team Ferrari may have done with its new challenger....guess we dont have long to wait and find out Wink

Sauber first track outing.

I guess Ericsson was in the seat, halo does a good job of obscuring it.

I personally think Sauber have been quite bold. They've changed a hell of a lot of their aero, they 've altered their overall concept by lengthening their car and increasing the rake, and I really hope it pays off. There are way more air intakes on this car than any other so far...

However, looking at it by engine manufacturer, both Haas and Sauber have increased their air intakes, whereas both Renault and RBR have actually decreased their air intakes. Williams have decreased theirs too, but given last year there was quite a lot on their car we'll have to wait and see what the other Merc powered teams do.

Clearly though the personnel and cash injection from Ferrari has helped shift Sauber on. If I were Haas I'd be concerned that Alfa Romeo Sauber might show me up. Although that might depend on how quickly Leclerc settles into F1, because we know Ericsson is shit.
