I guess that's the chance he has to take. It could work out well like it did for Vettel and Verstappen, or it could be a disaster like Kvyat. (Perhaps "disaster" is a tad harsh, but... nah, screw it, it was a disaster)

Let's not forget, Gasly's saving grace could be an under-performing Honda PU next season, no-one's going to be expecting wins, or even podiums - are they?
On the basis that Honda will continue to improve, at the same time the current A-listers are heading towards retirement, it could actually be the perfect transition for Gasly into a race winner or title contender come 2020/21 onwards??
Lots of cards needing to fall into place for the above to come to fruition, but outside of Merc & Ferrari, if one team was going to have a renaissance during a major regulation shake-up, I think many would put their money on RBR. And with a seasoned Gasly & Verstappen pairing, they could be a serious force to be reckoned with!
